Install this free plugin to support loading and saving of more image formats in our software:
- AVIF (*.avif)
- JPEG XL (*.jxl)
Note: Metadata is currently not supported for these formats.

For now, there is no “official” microsoft wic codec, a wic extension allow you to open jxl jpeg xl in compatible windows application, but also in the file explorer, for now, the only one working is the github from https://github.com/saschanaz/jxl-winthumb
Unfortunatly , there is no installer, so end-users will be lost in the instruction to install it AND ! be aware it doesn’t seem to support IPTC / EXIF fields ( Fotolikr will support EXIF and IPTC as it can manage them independantly )
